Colonel Stuart and his troops |
Troops wear the Scottish National Flag on their right sleeves, and the Arms of the Marquess of Lothian on the left. When not wearing helmets, troops usually are found sporting Balmoral or glengarry bonnets. Primary units can be identified by their more modern equipment, and are usually seen wearing kilts with Clan Kerr tartan, though some troops have started receiving copies of British battledress.
Auxiliary units have also been raised in the community to help with local defense. They wear an older pattern uniform and much of their equipment is of Great War vintage.
Figures for these units are from Pulp Figures, Musketeer Miniatures, and Artizan Designs (with caps modified to glengarry bonnets). The Musketeer miniatures are a little smaller than the other two manufacturers, but I don't think it is too noticeable when looking from above. Though the uniforms are my own creation, a significant amount of inspiration came from PanzerKaput's artwork.
